Step 1: The "Ready-to-Go" Measurement
Do not measure the iPad alone if you plan to keep it in a case. Place your iPad inside its keyboard or folio case exactly how you intend to carry it.
Step 2: Get the Three Key Dimensions
Using a ruler or measuring tape (cm is often more precise for handmade goods), measure the following:

Thickness (The Depth): This is the most important part! A Magic Keyboard can double the thickness of an iPad Pro M5. Measure the thickest point, usually where the camera bump or the keyboard hinge is located.
Step 3: Account for the "Pencil Factor"
If your Apple Pencil Pro attaches to the side, measure the width including the pencil. If your sleeve is too snug, the pencil might be knocked loose every time you slide the iPad in or out.

If you use an Apple Pencil that attaches magnetically, we recommend a fit that allows the pencil to stay flush against the iPad. If you're worried about it shifting, just drop us a note with your order and we can discuss adding a dedicated internal pencil loop!
Q: Is the sleeve waterproof if I spill something in my bag? A: While our cotton and canvas fabrics are breathable and soft, they are not waterproof. However, the thick quilting provides a significant buffer against minor splashes and dampenings. For the best care, we recommend spot-cleaning your sleeve with a damp cloth.
Q: I have a very thick "rugged" child-proof case. Will it fit? A: Rugged cases (like Otterbox) add significant bulk.
